At the back of the Campbell’s estate (I guess its actually Duke of Argyll, but the tea-room has 3 Andy Warhol Campbell’s soup prints, so for me it will always be the Campbell’s estate!), there is a woodland (Brackley Wood) that leads up to a tower on top of a steep hill with a view over the estate, the township and further down the Loch. This is situated on the way up (or down!).
A collection of images depicting the landscapes of Scotland. There are also a collection of landscapes in black and white that can be viewed here.
River Orchy. While driving from Inverness to the departure point for the Isle of Skye, google-maps took me by this short cut, along side this glorious river (with quite a few trout fishermen).Landscape in the vicinity of GlencoeView over Loch LinnheView of the Isle of Skye, rainy late afternoonIn the vicinity of Dunvegan, Isle of SkyeVicinity of Allt Dearg Mor, near the village of Sligachan, Isle of SkyeEilean Donan Castle, north-west Scotland. This is also a training ground for the British RAF, so taking the view, a jet scoots past at a couple of hundred metres altitude, coming around the loch behind the castle and to its right. I missed it this time, but see below!Loch Cluanie, late afternoonLooking north along A887!, and I hear the jets again. This time, I catch it!Moared boat along the Inverness CanalA panoramic view (iPhonography) nearing the summit of Cairn Gorm mountain, near AviemoreView nearing the summit of Cairn Gorm mountain, near AviemoreView nearing the summit of Cairn Gorm mountain, near AviemoreLooking towards Loch Maree, ScotlandClouds hug a mountain as the afternoon sun peaks through: Isle of Skye. The Campbell estate, Inveraray, is quite a nice spot, with wild forest, hills and kept lawns and garden.
